What does GCUC stand for?
GCUC – Global Coworking Unconference Conference
Why do you call it juicy?
We noticed when you say the acronym GCUC it sounds a lot like “juicy”.
What is an unconference?
An unconference is a session in which the attendees choose the topics of discussion. It’s basically a day of crowd-sourced content. Because the attendees themselves run it, it functions as more of an open conversation. Check out our unconference video here.
Where will GCUC be hosted this year?
Singapore! STI Auditorium on the 9th floor of Capital Tower, 168 Robinson Road S068912. The closest MRT station is Tanjong Pagar
Do you have any transportation recomendations?
Public transportation. Parking is scarce and expensive. MRT and taxis are the best way for tourists to get about. The general population is very friendly, so don’t be shy asking for directions or recommendations!
Where should I park once I arrive?
There is parking onsite within the building. As it is located in the CBD, parking rates are astronomical. There are other options in the vicinity but we reckon most delegates will take public transportation
How do I sponsor GCUC Coworking Conference?
Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for full sponsorship information.
Will the conference be live streamed?
No, the live content is exclusively for the attendees.
What is your twitter handle and hashtag?
@GCUCGlobal and during the conference we will use the hashtag #GCUCSING
If for some reason I can’t attend do you offer refunds?
No, I’m sorry we do not. You can re-sell your ticket. We recommend the GCUC Facebook group or the Coworking Google group. Contact email@example.com after the sale so we can change the name on your ticket and conference badge.
Early bird, week out and door tickets are non transferable. All other tickets can be transfered one time as long as the request is submitted at least 15 working days prior to the conference.
How do I get invited to the GCUC attendees-only Facebook group?
If you buy a ticket you’ll be invited. If for some reason you were not please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can I volunteer?
We are currently working on our volunteer plan. Please email us at email@example.com and let us know your amazing skills and what you’re interested in doing.
What airport should I fly into?
Singapore – Changi Airport
Help! Where should I stay?
There are lots of hotels in the vicinity including M Hotel, Sofitel SO, Carlton Hotel, Oasia Downtown, Amara.
There are a lot more options slightly further down closer to the Chinatwon area which is cheaper, but you will need to arrange transportation to the venue.
There are also serviced apartments in the area such as Metro Residences that are quite decently priced.
Is there a dress code?
Bring your thinking cap for the conference/ unconference sessions and your super- fancy -dancey pants for our after party.
Do you have a map of some coworking spaces in Singapore?
We are curating one as you read this. Check back in a bit for a map!
Do I need a Visa?
Possibly! Please make sure that you are checking to see if you are required to have a visa when booking your travels.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your requests. We can not guarantee that we can accommodate all requests but we will do our very best. All requests must be submitted 15 days prior to the actual event.
Can you recommend some local eateries near the venue?
Amoy hawker centre across the street. Sheltered options within the Tanjong Pagar Centre. Salad stores, western, Japanese restaurants just downstairs.
Can you recommend some local attractions?
Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay, Zoo/Night Safari, Singapore Flyer, museums (ArtScience, National Gallery, etc), Universal Studios, Chinatown
Can I change my profile after it has been submitted?
No, all changes have to be made by one of our team members so PLEASE double check your profile before submitting it.
